I am trying to use the Audit Trail in release 5.1. I am receiving LENGERRs on the WRITEQ TD statement in DMP820 with the Audit length is set to 132. My CSMT file has an LRECL=132 and BLKSIZE=136.

CSMT needed an LRECL of 128, but OLF imposes a 132 minimum. Temporary workaround: either create a larger TDQ to write to, or write to a file instead instead of a TDQ.
OLFCOPY file requirement

My customer runs OLFU in multiple regions. Do you have to define a separate OLFCOPY file in each region? I understood it was only used for copybook function. But the file must be open to verify license key. The manual says to close OLFCOPY when running batch copy file. However that will prevent CICS users from entering other OLFx transactions. Is OLFCOPY actually updated in CICS?

In OLFU release 5.0, the OLFCOPY file was optional and was only used to store copybook information.
The OLFCOPY is required beginning with release 5.1. It is used to store your Installation Options and Passwords along with your Copybook information. You may share this file between multiple regions and just keep it open for update in the region where you perform your administrative functions.

VSE TS 1.1 is required for OLFU release 5.1 and above to support CEMT INQ TSQ instruction. You can disable OLFL (the Temp Strg Lookup function - program DMP810) and use the rest of the product.

Upper Case Translate is getting turned off unintentionally. We execute OLFU filename, enter CLR and then clear the screen and exit OLFU. The terminal then shows NOUCTRAN.

From the OLPS transaction, select Option 0 (OLFU Maintenance) then Option 8 (T/S Retention). Change this setting from 'C' to 'R'. This should prevent the case translate from changing without using the LCA or UCA functions.
